2 Things from today I don't want to forget

Okay, so today was the first time I can recall Gabe talking about what he wants to do when he "gets big." He told me that when he gets big, he wants to be a teacher (I'm thinking it was in the context of Children's Church teacher b/c I was singing a song from CC right before he mentioned that.) Then, he said, "And after that, I will be a firefighter!"

On another note, with the 23rd being our family Christmas Eve, Sara always gives us one present before bed, which is pajamas. Gabe liked his PJ's. but got a little pouty and said, "But I didn't get Woody" (as in, the lead in Toy Story...the one thing he's told us consistently that he wants for Christmas this year). A few minutes later, as we were all upstairs getting our new PJ's on, I think Gabie started feeling a little bad for acting ungrateful (mind you, we didn't scold him or anything when he was sad about Woody). On his own initiative, he told Sara and me, "Thank you very much for my jammies," and gave us each really big hugs where he just held on tight to each of us. I'm not a crier, but I that almost got me tearing up. I'm just amazed at his sensitive heart and so thankful for this special little guy.

One last note, when we pray before meals now, Caleb is folding his hands and clenching his eyes shut super tight. So cute.

Man, I'm just so grateful for these little guys...that's all for tonight. Merry Christmas, Sara.
